- Profile & child data: Names, birthdates, and optional profile photos you provide.
- Memories: Photos, text, voice recordings, and related metadata you upload.
- Usage data: Basic app usage and device information to improve reliability and fix issues.
- Subscription data: Purchase and entitlement status processed through Apple, Google, and RevenueCat.
How we use your information
- Store and sync your memories across your devices
- Provide voice transcription and AI-generated monthly summaries
- Send email summaries and account-related notifications you request
- Manage subscriptions and premium features
- Improve app security, performance, and support
Third-party services
We use trusted providers to operate MemoryLane, including:
- Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, and file storage
- RevenueCat: Subscription management
- OpenAI: Voice transcription and summary generation
- Resend: Transactional and summary emails
These providers process data only as needed to deliver their services and under their own privacy terms.
Family contributors
If you invite contributors, they can view and add memories for children you share with them. You control invitations and can remove access at any time.
Data retention & deletion
Your memories remain in your account until you delete them or delete your account. You can export or delete data from within the app. Contact us if you need help with account deletion.
Children's privacy
MemoryLane is designed for parents to document their children's lives. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Parents control all child profiles and content.
Security
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we work continuously to protect your data.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. Contact us at support@memorylane.app to make a request.
