These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the MemoryLane mobile application and related services. By using MemoryLane, you agree to these Terms.

Using MemoryLane

MemoryLane is a family memory journal for capturing photos, notes, and voice recordings about your children. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for content you upload and for invitations you send to contributors.

Your content

You retain ownership of memories and media you upload. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the service—including AI transcription and summary features you enable.

You agree not to upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

Subscriptions & billing

MemoryLane offers free and Premium tiers. Premium subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Payment, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are handled by the respective store under their policies. Restore purchases through the app if you reinstall or change devices.

AI features

Transcription and monthly summaries are generated using AI and may occasionally contain inaccuracies. They are provided for personal keepsake purposes, not professional or medical advice. Review summaries before sharing externally.

Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Do not reverse engineer, scrape, or overload our systems
• Do not use the service for spam, harassment, or illegal activity
• Only invite contributors who have agreed to participate

Service availability

We strive to keep MemoryLane available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify features, limits, or pricing with reasonable notice where required.

Disclaimer

MemoryLane is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Limitation of liability

Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars if you use the free tier.

Termination

You may stop using MemoryLane at any time and delete your account from the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your place of residence, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection laws in your country.
